In The Arms of Morpheus is rebranding to Microcosm.
From a science-only study of human behavior to one that invites literature, personal experience, and spirituality.
In The Arms of Morpheus is rebranding to Microcosm. I chose the name to allude to Morpheus, the Greek God of sleep. Being in his arms meant opening space for your subconscious to act. My earlier scientific studies brought aspects of our human behavior to light, hence the name.
Throughout the last year, I shifted from studying human behavior strictly from science to exploring spirituality, literature, and people's experiences. This transition in my personal life has changed the topics I write about in this newsletter. I've written poetry, personal anecdotes, and experience-backed essays with scientific support. Out of respect for the changes in my life and the content you signed up for, I'm changing the newsletter's name to Microcosm.
The cosm is the universe, the puzzle. A microcosm is a piece of the puzzle—a part that reflects the nature of the whole. Essays from the Microcosm newsletter reflect the universe in three ways:
Personal essays of me, Nicolás Forero, that can contain truths of how you operate
Essays on your and my experience that reflect how you and I operate
Essays on society's average experience that reflect how humans operate
The concept of Microcosm is at play in these types of essays. My experience reflects your experience, and your experience reflects society's experience, and society's experience reflects the human experience.
I'm grateful for those of you who will continue to support my writing throughout this transition through time, likes, comments, and shares.
love, Love, LOVE everything about the re-brand, Nicolás. Every. Single. Thing. Bravo to you and your wonderful writing!!!
Nice! Excited to see what you will write about next!
